Scrap Etc. 2008 Continues

We felt trimmers in the middle of the night, and guess what, it was an earthquake; north of Nashville.

Scrap Etc. 2008 Event Begins

I got to bring my good friend, Joy, to this year's event. I'm so excited for her... an opportunity to hear some inspirational classes and to obtain some wonderful and new creative ideas for scrapbooking.

Tonight, we got to talk to some of the wonderful teachers at the Q&A session. Heidi Swapp, you totally inspire me. She made such an impact on my life two years ago, and I'm so looking forward to her classes.

The Scrap Etc. 2008 Event

For the last few weeks, I've had the pleasure of working with Monique and Vanessa on The Scrap Etc. 2008 event's website. It has been a blast and inspirational. As the days have gone by, I wish more and more that the event is sooner. Well, I'll definitely be looking forward to April 2008. Enjoy the website!

LiveHappy

I've been wanting to blog my Scrap ETC. event experience for some time. But I got distracted by a few things. But I'm back. : )

I truly want to thank Monique for the wonderful weekend. Just like last year's event, I was inspired and motivated by many of the speakers. As many of you remember, this Unwritten Journal blog was inspired from that very event. And it led me along a wonderful path of wonderful experiences, growth and learning opportunities.

This year, Monique did it again by inviting some wonderful speakers... Stacy Julian, Robin Johnson and Allison Tyler Jones; and some wonderful artists... Kristina Contes & Jenni Bowlin. I've learned so much from each speaker and could go on and on about what I've walked away with, but unfortunately, I don't have time to post all my thoughts and feelings within this posting. So, you will have to see my upcoming posts for more details.

There is one special person I truly want to thank you for letting God use her to impact others ... THANK YOU Stacy for your ScrapHappy class. You have helped me discover my theme for this year ... "LiveHappy". Even thru life events, you were able to impact me and others to be more than we are, to be a light in this world. May you be blessed 10 times over for the blessing you gave us!

Your Life Has Purpose and Meaning

To all my blog readers:
Come back as I continue to blog what I've learned and am applying to my life from the ScrapHappy class.

my first blog

Hello! My name is Jennifer. This is my first blog. I'm so excited. I've been inspired by Heidi Swapp, Cathy Zielske and Elsie Flannigan to create my own blog. I attended a "Scrap Etc." event a few weekends ago, and it was one of the most inspiring and life-changing weekends of my life. Heidi shared from her heart about her "Life Makeover" journal that inspired her to face who she is and to pursue her dreams in becoming the woman she desires to be. It was so inspiring... thank you Heidi for being so open with your life. Therefore, I started my own life-makeover journal, which is an art journal, titled "Unwritten" from Natasha Bedingfield's song. In the coming months, I hope to be able to share my life journey with you, by sharing some clips from my "Unwritten" journal.

Unwritten Lyrics -

I am unwritten,
Can't read my mind
I'm undefined
I'm just beginning
The pen's in my hand
Ending unplanned

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words
That you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your INHIBITIONS

I break tradition
Sometimes my tries
Are outside the lines
We've been conditioned
To not make mistakes
But I can't live that way

Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten
